Feature codes are preset key sequences (shortcuts) that enable extension users to access a function. Several features can make use of the feature code; for example, feature codes can be added to IVRs. Feature codes can be used in Huntlists and IVRs as a shortcut as well.


 


For example, a shortcut key can be created to enable a pause code or perform a speed dial, or transfer a call to a queue. Depending on the action required, the system may respond with interactive voice prompts. These are set up according to the organisation’s needs by the Euphoria pre-production team during the initial setup that is completed before go-live. Personalized feature codes can be added to the TMS.


To create a feature code the “Add Feature Code” button can be selected. From here, new feature codes can be created. The system will check if the feature code is available and will have a green check next to an available option. A descriptive name can be added in the comment section, and an action will need to be chosen for the feature code. 


Action names are what will be executed on the feature and used for easy access to certain functionality. Below is a list of action names and what they are used for:


  • Directed Pickup: This allows for picking up a call ringing on a specific extension (Where the ringing extension is {ext}).

  • Anonymous CLI: Set CallerID to Anonymous

  • Set CLI: Set CallerID (custom CLI)

  • Set Day/Night: This can be used to set Day, Night or Temporary override mode to control inbound call routing for Operator Managed inbound routes

  • Pin Dialing (Roaming) - Allows outbound calls by entering the voicemail pin number. Pick up Euphoria handset, dial *21 and follow the voice prompts. The system will ask for your extension number (voicemail number) and the pin number. If correct, it will allow a number to be dialled.

  • Record Message: Record Message

  • Call Forward Prompt: Call Forward No Answer Activation

  • Cancel Forward Prompt: Call Forward Busy Deactivation

  • Call Forward Caller: Call Forward status for callers phone

  • Cancel Forward Caller: Call Forward No Answer Deactivation

  • Cancel Forward Dialed: Call Forward Busy Deactivation

  • Check Call Forward: Call Forward status for callers' phone

  • Check Voicemail: Check Voicemail

  • Intercom: Phone Intercom

  • Music On Hold: Sample extension for testing default music on hold

  • Echo Test: Test line feedback

  • Spy Direct Dial: Spy on Extensions

  • Callback: Make a Callback

  • Hunt list: When dialling the feature code is used to access that hunt list. 

  • Queue: When dialling the feature code is used to access that queue 

  • Menu Dial: When dialling the feature code is used to access that menu option

  • Park: Park Call

  • Unpark Direct: Unpark Call

  • VM Pin Dialling Direct Dial: Pin Dialling (Own extension) - Allows outbound calls by entering the voicemail pin number. Pick up Euphoria handset, dial *22 and follow the voice prompts. The system will ask for the voicemail pin number. If correct, it will allow a number to be dialled.

  • Queue Member Pause: Pause Me in any Queue


Some feature codes can not be removed as they are standardised options across the system and will be the same for every user, as seen below.
