Call recording is done at an extension level for billing. Toggling call recording on and off is also done at the extension level.
Unfortunately, we cannot toggle it at a call level as it will incur a lot of misunderstanding of calls being recorded or not due to the feature being toggled on or off per call.

Need: When I start a call via the API then I can specify if the call is recorded or not.

Currently, recordings are per-extension. I have clients that want call recordings and clients that don't. I would appreciate being able to toggle on a per-call basis whether the call is recorded or not, for a single extension.
